You heard it here first: COVID-19 will become the de facto justification for virtually every political or policy discussion for 2020 and beyond. Like the Oklahoma land rush, both Republicans and Democrats are off and running. Check it out:

• Eric Early, the Republican candidate running against Adam Schiff is accusing Schiff of exploiting the COVID-19 crisis as Early himself exploits the pandemic for fundraising.
• The liberals are also wasting no time. The anti-fracking crowd is citing the pandemic as a reason for the Governor to freeze gas and oil drilling permits: “Air pollution increases your risk of dying from COVID-19.”

Brace yourself. It’s just the beginning, folks.
